IMC Integrated Test Solution

The IMC Integrated Test Solution is designed for comprehensive testing of an unmanned aerial vehicle’s Integrated Management Computer (IMC), providing full support for software development, integration debugging, interface testing, functional verification, and final acceptance testing. As the core system responsible for mission management and coordination, the IMC’s performance and reliability directly affect the overall stability and safety of the UAV, making high-precision and full-coverage testing essential.

From a business perspective, this solution supports IMC development and debugging by providing external interface stimulation and data acquisition, testing physical interface connectivity, and verifying that all IMC interface protocols are consistent with the Interface Control Document (ICD), ensuring the IMC meets all design specifications. The system also supports application debugging by integrating mission software with hardware, validating that the application logic fully aligns with the detailed design documents (DD). After IMC development, the solution enables automated factory acceptance testing, performing step-by-step verification according to the test outline.

The solution is built on the HRT Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation platform, utilizing a real-time fiber-optic reflective memory network to construct a host-target real-time test system with high reliability and performance. Key advantages include avionics system testing with support for GJB289A bus interface simulation, electromechanical system testing supporting GJB289A, RS422, PWM, DIO, AD interfaces, ICD management with version control and interface mapping, automated test capabilities with plan management, and scalable real-time simulation for integrating future avionics and electromechanical models.

Functionally, the system provides IMC IO resource management and test execution management, supports automated packet assembly and disassembly based on ICD definitions, stimulates IMC interfaces, collects data, and offers recording, playback, and system status monitoring. IMC interface control file import enables complete parsing of all onboard device interfaces and mapping to hardware or simulation interfaces. The automated test features include graphical test sequence editing, run monitoring, data analysis, report generation, and test case extension capabilities.

The solution also supports BIT functional testing for electromechanical, avionics, and mission subsystems, completing functional verification under both mission and ground test modes. ICD-based stimulation and acquisition enable highly automated testing. IMC interface adaptation ensures seamless connectivity between the device under test and the test platform, while test point extraction facilitates fault localization and troubleshooting, significantly enhancing testing efficiency and reliability.

This solution is ideal for UAV manufacturers’ avionics and electromechanical departments, as well as auxiliary units responsible for subsystem design. It enables interface testing and functional verification during development and comprehensive acceptance testing before delivery, providing robust assurance for IMC reliability and overall UAV system performance.
